My journey—from the classroom to the courtroom—has given me a unique ability to navigate issues of poverty, race, and class. I began my career in education and nonprofit work, supporting youth facing real challenges, and eventually found my purpose in criminal defense.
With over a decade of experience practicing law—including time as a prosecutor and now as a member of the CJA panel—I’ve handled a wide range of complex criminal matters in both state and federal court. Today, I combine my lived experience and legal training to advocate fiercely for those who need it most, ensuring every client receives the strong, informed defense they deserve.
